Michal Mualem - Dancer

 

           Born in 1974 – Israel

           1979-1988 - practiced professional gymnastics

           1991-1994 - did her dance education in Israel

 

           As a dancer danced with :

           1994-1999 “Liat Dror & Nir Ben-Gal company”

           1999-2001 “Noa Dar Dance Group”

 

          In 2001 moved to Germany to work with the choreographer Sasha Waltz.

          Till 2005 worked as a company member and from then on started to create her own works while still collaborating

          with Sasha Waltz  as a  guest   dancer.

 

 

          2007/2008, collaborated again with Noa Dar for the production “Arnica”.

 

          Own creations (together with her Italian partner Giannalberto de Filippis) :

          2005: 

         “In Between”, A duet which was premiered in Bologna and performed in London (Aerowaves , The Place), Berlin, Tel-Aviv 

         (Suzanne Dellal , Tmuna theatre), Bratislava, Prague, Lausanne, Marburg, Leipzig, Bassano del Grappa, Catania and more….

         The duet was awarded the 3^rd price in the international choreographic competition in Hanover 2006.

         2006:

        “Here & Not” , a trio that was premiered as part of  “Curtain Up” Festival in Israel, performed in the International Exposure

        in Suzanne Dellal Center and in Festival de la Citè , Lausanne.

        2007:

        A quartet “Silenzio Cucito” , was premiered in Ravenna, Italy and performed in Germany in Marburg (Wagonhalle) and Leipzig (Schaubuhne).

        2008:

       “And after all that…” a piece for “Ha Dance” company from Haifa, premiered on the 14.3 in Suzanne Dellal Center.

       “Drops of Memory” , a piece for Modem at the Scenario Pubblico in Catania, Sicily, premiere on the 23^rd of May.

 

       Teaching dance workshops/classes in Europe and in Israel.
