"The dream is a great artist" in Arabic
Following the Arab communities "Omanut La’am”, coordinator's initiative, the group created a version of Noa Dar's production "The Dream is a Great Painter" in Arabic. Based on the Hebrew Leah Goldberg's poetry for children, with original music by composer Israel Bright. This initiative intended to provide an opportunity for Arab children to expose to a unique dance performance and to Leah Goldberg's wonderful poems. .We regard this project as a channel developing acquaintance between cultures, and cooperation between Jews and Arabs.
As part of this unique cooperation, the playwright and director Adnan Tarbashi translated the entire show into Arabic (the first time that Leah Goldberg’s poetry translated into Arabic). The lead role enacted by the well-known singer and actor Amal Marcos.
The performances in its Arabic version distributed with the support of the Israeli culture federations: "Sal Tarbut" and "Omanut La'am". The production made possible by the financial support of the Israeli Lottery Council for Culture and Arts and the Department for Dance at the Ministry of Science, Culture and Sport.
